Scripts

I believe I mentioned this somewhere on this website: the core of filmmaking, or any form of art and communication, is storytelling. It is the world that one conveys that captures the attention and sparks the passion.

I can’t say I am a master in this craft, but let’s see…maybe something will surprise you.

Early Short Scripts

I began experimenting with world creation when I was imprisoned in my room during COVID.

I just started writing, with no expectations or plan, wanting to add something to my life, creating some worlds, perhaps, or merely reflecting on some thoughts. Who knows. I began with short ones, trying out the format before taking on the “big, serious guys”. These shorties include my early steps and snapshots of my thoughts, often convoluted and primitive.

But these are ideas, nevertheless, an early trilogy, even. Everyone needs to start somewhere, no?

The first one, called WE THE PEOPLE?

The second one, called PARADOX?

The third one, called WHAT AND WHY?

I never imagine these to be good as they were mere outlets of my emotions during the pandemic, some of the early contemplations about our world. The format is rough, as I didn’t know any software, and the logic is messed.

But where would evolution occur if there is nothing primitive, if there is nothing old, weird, and inefficient?

Later Short Scripts

Then, I hoped to mature my writing, compose more shorties with a more “modern” perspective, and a refreshed writing style, potentially.

Who knows if these are “better” than the previous ones? And who knows if these somehow mean more than the previous ones? These are all my works, snapshots of this stream of consciousness. They all represent this continuous growth and rationalization.

Take a read!

The fourth one, called Are We Animals

The sixth one, called Oh My God, It’s “Her”!

These are all I have for now, but I suppose there is never an end to writing or creation. I will write more, share a little more of my thinking, whether popular or not, and stay true to my creative intent.

I hope there will never be a day when my ideas run dry or my hands move without the permission of my mind. If that day arrives, it is safe to say that I have lost my human mind and my soul is replaced with a robotic heart.

Feature Scripts

Sometimes I feel shorties can’t satisfy me, that I am lustful for more space, for freedom to build a much bigger world, something new.

So, I tried writing some features, figuring out the logics and connections on my own. I mean, isn’t most of the writing just a process of self-exploration and self-experimentation? I like imagining things, placing myself in the imaginary bodies and minds of others, of characters with their histories and memories. It is an out-of-this-world experience, a sense of complete control, even, that I feel omnipresent and omniscient, like a creation god.

I guess this is the same with shorties, but it never brings the full-on pleasure like the features, the mind-numbing pleasure of knowing that I control the destinies of worlds. What an ambitious statement to claim!

Anyways, take a read! I have yet to complete many features, but just like the shorties, it is a craft in progress. I am learning as I write. I am dreaming as I write.

The first feature, called Rebellious Rats

The second feature, called You Will Always Be My Favorite

The third feature (in progress), called An Upsetting World

So yeah, I have tried a lot with feature writing.

I don’t hope they will be good or attractive, YET, but revisions will happen and they will have their rightful shine. These worlds never end in my head, and I should grant them the liberty to display themselves, show their brightness.

This is passionate work for me, a proclaimed dedication. Whenever I give these worlds energy and life, they return that favor and pumps it in me. they relied on me to exist, and now I rely on them to exist, too.

Visual Arts

Every imagination requires visualization, and every visualization begins with pictures.

These are some of the drawings I have done over the years: some are vaguely related to scripts, others are more closely connected. Nevertheless, they all represent my vision and style, indirectly defining how the scripts will appear on screens.
